Art for Art's Sake

Contemporary music merges and collides with visual works… this presentation paints scenescapes of light and sound as we address the age-old question: what is art? Visual images from historical and contemporary painters, sculptors, and instillation artists converse with us as Wendy Loomis' chamber music tells a story of its own. The concert features flutist Monica Williams, poet Royal Kent, and an array of woodwinds, strings, and percussion.
